Baby App for Android
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Baby App handles information when parents and caregivers use the app to record baby-care activities and set local reminders.
1. Information handled by the app
Depending on the features you choose to use, Baby App may store:
- baby-care records, including feeding and nursing details, diaper events, burping, dates, times, and notes;
- optional profile information, including first name, last name, and email address;
- app preferences, such as language, time format, sorting, filters, permissions prompts, and reminder settings; and
- locally scheduled reminder and notification information.
You are not required to enter optional profile information to use the core tracking features. Baby App does not create an online account and does not ask for or store a password.
2. How information is used
The app uses locally stored information only to provide features on your device, including:
- displaying, sorting, filtering, editing, and deleting baby-care entries;
- showing reminders and notifications at the times you choose;
- remembering your display and language preferences; and
- creating PDF reports when you explicitly request an export.
3. Collection, sharing, advertising, and analytics
Baby App does not transmit your personal information or baby-care records to the developer or to a developer-operated server. The developer therefore does not collect, sell, rent, or share this information with third parties.
The app contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK, or third-party tracking SDK. It does not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
4. Local storage and Android backup
App data is stored in Baby App's private storage on your Android device. Depending on your Android device and Google backup settings, Android may include app data in an encrypted cloud backup or device-to-device transfer. This system-level service is controlled by you and Google, not by the Baby App developer, and the developer cannot access those backups.
You can review or disable Android backup in your device settings. Google's handling of backup data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
5. PDF exports
When you request a PDF export, Baby App creates a file in your device's Downloads area. The app does not upload or share that file automatically. You control any later access, copying, or sharing through your device and other apps. Exported PDFs may contain the baby-care records and notes you selected, so handle them appropriately.
6. Device permissions
Baby App may request or use Android permissions needed for its local features:
- Notifications to display reminders and baby-care alerts;
- Exact alarms to deliver reminders at the selected time;
- Start after device boot to restore scheduled reminders;
- Vibration for notification alerts; and
- Storage access on Android 9 and earlier only to save requested PDF exports.
The app does not request Internet access, location, camera, microphone, contacts, or advertising permissions.
7. Data retention and deletion
Information remains on your device until you delete entries, clear Baby App's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app's local data, subject to any Android backup you control. PDF reports saved in Downloads are separate files and must be deleted manually.
Because the developer does not receive or hold your app data, there is no developer-side account or server record to delete.
8. Security
Baby App relies on Android's application sandbox to protect its private local storage. No method of storage is completely risk-free, so you should protect your device with an appropriate screen lock and keep Android security updates current. Take particular care when exporting reports outside the app's private storage.
9. Children
Baby App is intended for adult parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The baby-care information an adult enters remains locally controlled as described in this policy.
10. Medical disclaimer
Baby App is a personal record-keeping tool and is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Contact a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions or emergencies.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Baby App's features or data practices change. The current version will remain available at this URL, and the effective date at the top of the page will be updated when material changes are made.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the developer by opening an issue in the Baby App privacy repository. Do not include baby-care records, health details, or other sensitive personal information in a public issue.
